Learn About the History of Air Travel at the Glenn L Martin Aviation Museum

In 1990, the Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum first opened in Middle River. Over the years, this aviation museum continued to grow in size and quality as the establishment has grown in popularity. Visitors flock to this private, all-volunteer museum every Wednesday through Saturday to see its comprehensive collection. The museum’s purpose is to provide an educational institution dedicated to the promotion, preservation, and documentation of aviation and space history in Maryland, especially the contributions of Glenn L. Martin, an American aviation pioneer who designed and built his own aircraft. The Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum is operated by dedicated volunteers who wholly embrace the subject of air travel, and the museum encompasses an extensive collection of all things aviation pertaining to the state of Maryland. The museum is even certified by the United States Navy and Army.
