Stock Up on Fresh, Local Produce at Richardson Farms

There’s no need to fight the crowds at the usual grocery chains when you can swing by Richardson Farms instead. Situated on a plot of land in White Marsh, MD that the Richardson family has owned for five generations, Richardson Farms consists of a 10,000-square-foot market that’s filled with fresh, local produce, much of it grown by the family themselves. You’ll also find meats, prepared foods (the rotisserie chicken with two sides and cornbread is popular), and baked goods. Currently, four generations of Richardsons run the farm and the market, so you can actually meet the people who make your food.

There’s a lot more to Richardson Farms than food, though. The market has a nursery area where you can buy plants and gardening supplies as well as seasonal items like pumpkins and holiday decor, and it also hosts family-friendly events. For example, Breakfast with the Easter Bunny from March 30th and 31st and April 6th and 7th, along with an egg hunt and other games and activities for kids. This event usually sells out, so you’re encouraged to buy tickets soon if you want to go!
